Our Story

From a back-room LAN to Surry Hills' favourite lounge

We started with six borrowed PCs and a love for couch co-op. A decade later, CrystalSpinVault is where Sydney's players gather to compete, unwind, and find their crew.

    2014

    The first LAN nights

    Six rigs in a Redfern warehouse, BYO keyboard, and Friday tournaments that ran until sunrise. Word spread fast across the inner-city gaming scene.

    2017

    Buckingham Street opens

    We moved into our Surry Hills home — reclaimed-timber benches, plant-lined walls, and 60 custom battlestations built for comfort over long sessions.

    2020

    The esports arena

    We added a 40-seat competition arena with broadcast lighting, hosting regional qualifiers and community ladders across League, Valorant, and Rocket League.

    120 stations & a coffee bar

    Today we run 120 stations, a retro arcade wing, private streaming suites, and a barista bar pouring single-origin espresso from Marrickville roasters.

Casual drop-ins are welcome any time and we keep a block of stations free for walk-ups. That said, weekends and Friday nights get busy, so members and groups are best booking a booth 24–48 hours ahead through reception or by phone.

We're open seven days a week from 10am. Sunday to Thursday we run until midnight, and on Friday and Saturday the floor stays open until 2am. Public holiday hours may vary, so check before heading in.

Absolutely — BYO peripherals are fully supported on every station via front-facing USB and 3.5mm ports. Members get reserved peripheral storage so you can leave your gear with us between visits.

Yes. We run community ladders and monthly tournaments across League of Legends, Valorant, and Rocket League. Most events are open to all skill levels, and Vault Members enter free. Keep an eye on the noticeboard at reception for the schedule.

We welcome players of all ages, with under-15s needing a guardian present after 7pm. We offer group booth bookings with catering from the espresso bar — just let our team know your numbers and we'll set it up.

Every membership includes free locker storage, BYO-peripheral support, bottomless filtered water, and discounts at the café. Vault and Arena Pro members also get priority booking, free tournament entry, and access to the streaming suites.
